What is the prostate?
The prostate is a small gland in the pelvis and is part of the male reproductive system.
About the size of a walnut, it's located between the penis and the bladder, and surrounds the urethra.
The main function of the prostate is to produce a thick white fluid that creates semen when mixed with the sperm produced by the testicles.
What is Varicocele?
Varicocele is the medical name for the swelling and enlargement of the veins in the scrotum, or scrotum, which are loose skin bags that protect the testicles in men. Varicocele is similar to the “varicose vein” that can be seen in the legs, that is, varicose veins.Cases occur in the upper part of the testicles, usually in the left testis. Individuals may not be able to see the varicocele when lying down, but it may become visible when standing up. When touched by hand, the bag may feel as if there are plastic pipes or worms in it.
Hydrocel
Hydrocele is an abnormal accumulation of excess fluid in the membranes surrounding the testicles, resulting in swelling of the scrotum. Normally, there is 0.5 -1 ml of fluid between the testis and these membranes to ensure the lubrication of the testis, while in hydrocele, this amount of fluid can reach volumes of 100-200 ml and sometimes even more.
Hydrocele occurs in about 1 percent of adult men and usually over the age of 40. In adult men and older people, hydrocele may occur due to trauma to the scrotum, inflammatory diseases of the testis and its appendages, testicular tumors, varicocele surgeries and after radiotherapy. Unilateral hydrocele occurs in more than 70 percent of kidney transplant patients. Testicular torsion (sudden rotation of the testis) may cause reactive hydrocele in 20 percent of patients and may mask testicular torsion that requires immediate intervention
Urinary Tract Obstruction
Urine is formed as a result of the filtration of waste materials in our body through the kidneys. The urine formed in the kidneys reaches the bladder by moving through the channel called the ureter. However, in some individuals, urine coming out of the kidneys is blocked at the ureterovesical junction, which is the lower junction of the ureteral canal that connects to the bladder, and it cannot progress to the bladder.
